This privacy policy explains how Rung Leadership Development ("Rung", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit rungleadershipdevelopment.com, take our self-assessment, sign up for our emails, or buy and use our programs.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Italian Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended), and, for customers in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR.

2. What data we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: your name and email address when you sign up for our emails, download a free resource, or complete the self-assessment.
- Self-assessment answers: your responses and score, used to show your results and recommend a program.
- Purchase details: your name, email, billing address and VAT number (if applicable) when you buy a program. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
- Account and course data: your login details, course progress and any content you choose to share in the program, such as community posts or comments.
- Coaching information: if you join the Intensive program, notes from your one-to-one sessions about your leadership goals and challenges.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through forms on our website.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type, device and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See section 9.
- Email engagement: whether you open our emails or click links in them, so we can improve what we send.
We do not ask for any special category data, such as health information. Please don't include it in anything you share with us.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced them against your rights and expectations. You can object at any time (see section 7).
4. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers that help us run the business, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Kajabi — website hosting, course delivery, checkout and customer accounts
- Stripe — secure payment processing (through Kajabi Payments)
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — email marketing
- Dynadot — domain and email hosting
- Accountant — accounting and tax compliance
We may also share data where required by law, for example with tax authorities.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers are based in, or process data in, the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area and the UK. When this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place. This means relying on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the provider is certified, or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.
6. How long we keep your data
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, or after 2 years without engagement.
- Customer and course data: for as long as you have access to the program, plus 2 years.
- Coaching notes: for the duration of your Intensive program, plus 12 months.
- Invoices and accounting records: 10 years, as required by Italian law.
After these periods, we delete or anonymize your data.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- delete your data, where we have no legal reason to keep it
- restrict how we use your data
- object to processing based on legitimate interests
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
- unsubscribe from marketing emails, using the link in any email

Complaints: you have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it). In the UK, it is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please contact us.
8. How we protect your data
We use reputable providers with strong security standards, secure (HTTPS) connections, and access controls on our accounts. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data from loss, misuse or unauthorized access.
9. Cookies
Our website uses cookies. Essential cookies make the site and checkout work. Analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw through the cookie banner at any time.
10. Children
Our programs are designed for working adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If we make significant changes, we'll let customers and subscribers know by email.
